Nelson Mullins Partners Elect 13 Attorneys to the Partnership, 3 to Of Counsel

The partners of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP have elected 13 attorneys to the partnership and promoted three to of counsel effective Jan. 1, 2018: 

The new partners are: 

  • Benjamin S. Chesson, Charlotte. Chesson is a former associate who joined the Firm in 2016 and practices litigation. 
  • Miles E. Coleman, Columbia. Coleman is a former associate who joined the Firm in 2011 and practices in the areas of appellate law, business litigation, and First Amendment.  
  • Cassie L. Crawford, Winston-Salem. Crawford is a former associate who joined the Firm in 2014 and practices in the areas of business litigation, employment litigation, and class action defense.
  • Katelyn H. Fredericks, Atlanta. Fredericks is a former associate who joined the Firm in 2012 and practices in the areas of corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and private equity and venture capital.
  • Carl E. Fumarola, Boston. Fumarola is a former associate who joined the Firm in 2012 and practices financial services litigation and is the co-chair of the Firm’s Tax Lien Resolution & Litigation Group.   
  • Thomas M. Hancock, West Virginia. Hancock is a former of counsel who joined the Firm in 2016 and practices complex litigation.  
  • Lee B. Hart, Atlanta. Hart is a former associate who joined the Firm in 2015 and practices in the financial institutions group. 
  • Patrick L. Kartes, Charlotte. Kartes is a former of counsel who joined the Firm in 2016 and practices with the Intellectual Property Group. 
  • Nina M. Kumar, Nashville. Kumar is a former associate who joined the Firm in 2014 and practices in the areas of commercial transactions, real estate, bond finance, and healthcare. 
  • Daniel R. McCoy, Myrtle Beach. McCoy is a former associate who joined the Firm in 2013 and is a litigator.  
  • Mark R. Nash, Atlanta. Nash is a former associate who joined the Firm in 2010 and practices in the area of general litigation. 
  • E. Peter Strand, Washington, DC. Strand is a former of counsel who joined the Firm in 2008 and practices corporate and securities law. 
  • D. Martin Warf, Raleigh. Warf is a former of counsel who joined the Firm in 2014 and practices in the areas of business and consumer financial services litigation.
