A group from Nelson Mullins Encompass painted the multipurpose room of the Health Center at Epworth Children's Home on Feb. 8. Encompass team members who were not able to participate in person donated paint rollers, ladders, and other supplies.
The approximate 76 children who live at Epworth are provided health education and medical attention at the Epworth Health Center by round-the-clock nurses. Beyond their usual duties, the nurses also provide scheduling, transport, and comfort during doctor's visits. Since 1896, Epworth Children's Home has provided care and shelter to children and youth from broken family systems.
Nelson Mullins Encompass engages in quarterly service projects that give back to the community. The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, the Alzheimer's Association, Harvest Hope Food Bank, and Innersole are some of the charities Encompass has focused its most recent service projects on. The group also has an ongoing project of collecting toiletries for the Columbia Women's Shelter.
Participants of the Epworth event included Al Petren, Clara Smith, Charles West, Jeanne Howe, Julie Flaming, Heyward Bonyata, Kenya Lighty, Isaac Kim, Laura Huff, Ronetra Robinson, Saundra Gibson, Travis Bustamante, and Zade Miller.
