Partner Craig Metz has been appointed as co-chairman of the Washington, D.C. Region Committee of The Priory in the USA of The Order of Saint John. The Order is a global humanitarian charity consisting of 11 priories and more than 30 associations worldwide. The Priory in the USA provides financial assistance to the Saint John Eye Hospital Group, which serves patients in East Jerusalem, the West Bank, and Gaza, with free ophthalmologic care, and through its Volunteer Corps, supports the social and healthcare needs of communities in the U.S. He previously served as the chairman of the Government Affairs Committee of the Priory in the USA, which assisted in facilitating increases in funding for the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) through the Congressional Appropriations Process, which provided for grants to the Saint John Eye Hospital Group for several years.
Metz has experience in federal legislative, regulatory, and agency adjudicative operations.
