NEW YORK – Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP, a national law firm, is pleased to announce that Matthew Golden has joined the firm in its New York office as of counsel. He joins from Mars Inc., where he was assistant general counsel for intellectual property.

With his background in intellectual property and technology transactions, Golden assists clients of all sizes in technologies such as biopharma, healthcare, consumer goods, food manufacturing and food safety, packaging, and health and wellness. He has experience derived from in-house and law firm roles, which gives him a keen sense of the needs of individuals and companies involved in product development in competitive industries.

Golden assists with startup legal issues, technology transactions, research collaborations, patent and trademark portfolio development, competitive intelligence, mergers and acquisitions, IP financial transactions, litigation, and due diligence.

He earned his JD from Fordham University School of Law, an MA in chemistry from the University of Buffalo, and a BS in chemistry from Canisius College.
