BOSTON – Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP announced today that Andrew W. Schultz has joined the firm in its Boston office, where he will practice with the Intellectual Property Group. He joins as of counsel from Pepper Hamilton.
Schultz works with both well-established and start-up companies, universities, and independent inventors to identify and protect their intellectual property. His practice spans all aspects of patent law, including the preparation and prosecution of domestic and international patent applications, preparation of patentability and clearance opinions, and the representation of clients in adversarial post-grant proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
He earned his J.D. from The George Washington University Law School, an M.E. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Florida, and a B.S.E. in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University.
