FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — At the 2023 South Florida Business & Wealth Diversity & Inclusion Awards on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP partner Harsh Arora was honored as the Cultural Diversity Leader in the Law.
The awards, which center around the culturally diverse South Florida region, and are focused on showcasing the dedication by professionals who are leaders in their industries and in the community for their commitment to a more equitable society. Arora was recognized for his noteworthy contributions to the legal industry by dedicating his life to serving growing businesses and by proving to be the diversity, equity, and inclusion change agent for minority entrepreneurs and lawyers in Florida. Arora, a global citizen, was born and raised in India and lived in Switzerland prior to making Florida his permanent home. He concentrates his practice in the areas of domestic and international corporate transactions and related business dispute resolution. He counsels public and privately held companies as a boardroom advisor and a courtroom advocate in high-stakes corporate matters.
Arora is the co-chair of the firm’s Diverse Pipeline Outreach Program and serves on the Diversity and Inclusion Committee and the Recruiting Committee. Arora has led as the co-chair of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee of the Broward County Bar Association and sits on the board of the South Asian Bar Association of Florida. On a statewide level, he also serves on The Florida Bar’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee and the Judicial Nominating Procedures Committee.
