Nelson Mullins Senior Policy Advisor Ron Klink and Senior External Policy Advisor Michael Frazier are playing a significant role in a $53 million funding initiative of the Appalachian Development Highways (ADHS) toward a completion of Route 219 in Somerset County, Penn. Klink was originally hired in 2020 by the County to obtain funding to finish the enduring project.
Klink and Frazier have been successful in raising the project profile with $6 million in funding attained in late 2020 to complete the preliminary engineering. The newly acquired funds will complete final engineering, environmental studies, land acquisition, and installation of utilities. Ultimately, nearly $9 million will remain to begin construction.
Klink is a former member of the U.S. House of Representatives, first elected to the United States Congress in 1992 and served four consecutive terms representing the 4th Congressional District of Pennsylvania.
Frazier has more than two decades of experience in lobbying and public service. He has provided strategic advice to numerous clients in multiple fields including health care, transportation, energy, appropriations, homeland security, foreign relations, and commerce and trade.
