WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – BusinessNC Magazine has selected Winston-Salem Office Managing Partner Denise M. Gunter to its 2023 Power List. The list highlights those in upper management that are driving forces for change in the state and who have consistently made significant contributions to their industry and community.
Gunter will be featured along with all other honorees in a commemorative magazine from BusinessNC. According to the publisher, the BNC editorial team and other industry observers develop this list of more than 500 leaders throughout North Carolina to give an insightful look on who the most powerful leaders are across different industries.
Gunter has been the Office Managing Partner at the Winston-Salem office since 2003. She focuses her practice on government investigations, antitrust, and mergers and acquisitions. She also represents clients in civil and criminal antitrust litigation and government investigations and advises clients on pricing, distribution, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and Hart-Scott-Rodino premerger notification filings. Though her antitrust experience covers a variety of industries, Gunter has a particular focus on healthcare antitrust matters and regularly advises healthcare providers on antitrust issues affecting their operations. Gunter also maintains a robust practice representing clients with respect to North Carolina’s Certificate of Need program.
In addition to her responsibilities as Office Managing Partner in Winston-Salem, Gunter serves on the Firm’s Executive Committee, which is the Firm’s governing body. She is the current Vice Chair of the Board of the RiverRun International Film Festival, an Academy Award qualifying festival which attracts film makers worldwide to Winston-Salem, and the former board chair of The Fellowship Home of Winston-Salem, which provides transitional housing for men with suffering with addiction.
