Raleigh, N.C. -- Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP announced today that David Mannheim has joined the firm as a partner and member of the emerging growth and venture capital practice in the Raleigh office. He was formerly a partner with Wyrick Robbins of North Carolina for 18 years.
Mannheim’s practice focuses on corporate and securities law, including private and public securities, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance for biotech industries, including medical and environmental companies in North Carolina, California, Colorado and the mid-Atlantic region as well as the United Kingdom.
“David brings significant capital markets experience to the firm, and is a great addition to the Raleigh office, which continues to grow and expand its services,” said Robert L. Wilson, Jr., co-managing partner of the firm’s Raleigh office. “In the past year, we have brought on real estate lawyers, counsel for financial regulatory matters, and healthcare transactional attorneys.”
Mannheim’s experience includes raising capital for a variety of companies from start-ups to mature companies, whom he represents in public offerings, acquisitions and divestitures. He assists with mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance for existing companies, including the second electric vehicle manufacturer to go public. He has developed an expertise representing companies in the life sciences and technology industries

Mannheim earned his J.D., cum laude, and his B.B.A., summa cum laude, from the University of Georgia in Athens, Ga.
