Columbia partner Cory Manning has authored a book published by the South Carolina Bar. His book, South Carolina Business Torts, provides legal practitioners with comprehensive research of S.C. law on those causes of action that frequently arise in business tort scenarios and commercial disputes.
The book includes a discussion of the origin and development of common law surrounding these causes of action, which can assist practitioners in focusing and contextualizing their research and arguments based on the same. It discusses intentional interference with contract, civil conspiracy, defamation, breach of contract accompanied by a fraudulent act, breach of fiduciary, and more.
His book will be debuted at an S.C. Bar CLE Division seminar focusing on business torts in S.C. on October 15.
Manning practices in the areas of corporate internal and regulatory investigations, securities litigation, business litigation, and class action defense. His primary offices are in Columbia, S.C. and Los Angeles, California.
