ORLANDO – Nelson Mullins Broad and Cassel announced today that corporate and business transactions attorney Richard Coaxum Jr. has joined the Orlando office as a partner. He joins from Eastcor National Title Services, where he was chief business development officer and corporate counsel.
Coaxum has a diverse legal and entrepreneurial background and has worked extensively as a general counsel/chief legal officer, business executive, and outside general counsel in several sectors. He has served as outside corporate counsel to a Fortune 500 company and affiliates for transactions throughout the United States and international development territories. Additionally, he has represented the second largest locally owned electric utility in Florida and 16th largest in the nation, and he has provided knowledge on matters involving sustainability, solar electric-voltaic, and alternative/renewable energy development.

Coaxum earned an A.B. from Harvard University in 1991 and his JD from the University of Florida Fredric G. Levin College of Law in 1995.
