Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP, a national law firm, is pleased to announce that partner Colleen Pleasant Kline was named one of Baltimore Business Journal's 2022 Woman of Excellence in the law category.
The BBJ’s Women of Excellence Award recognized 16 women leaders across different industries who have excelled in their industry by showing innovation, perseverance and great success. They are mentors who are trying to cultivate the next generation of leaders. All of the women hold active roles in companies, serve on numerous boards, participate in industry groups, volunteer their time to speaking engagements, nonprofits, mentorship and so much more. And that's all on top of their personal roles as partners, parents, family members and friends.
Pleasant Kline uses her influence as an attorney and equity partner to raise the visibility of women in law. She founded and chairs Nelson Mullins' Women in Transactions subcommittee, is co-chair for Nelson Mullins' Mentorship subcommittee and mentors several women within and outside of her company. Pleasant Kline is also active in several local nonprofits, including as board president for Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland. Not to mention the deal teams she leads have closed on over 20 transactions in excess of $1 billion in the last two years alone.
Established in 1897, Nelson Mullins is an Am Law 100 firm of more than 930 attorneys and government relations professionals with offices in 15 states and Washington, D.C. For more information on the firm, go to www.nelsonmullins.com.
