ATLANTA – The Atlanta Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America has honored Atlanta of counsel Charles Huddleston with a national Whitney M. Young Jr. Service Award for his contributions to the organization.
Named for the American civil rights leader, the Whitney M. Young Jr. Award recognizes individuals and organizations who offer outstanding service in the development of Scouting for underserved youth in urban and rural communities in the Atlanta Area Council service area.
Huddleston has co-chaired and helped secure sponsors for the three Civil Rights Heritage Hikes that the Atlanta Area Council conducted in 2016, 2019, and 2022. He also is an active member of the Atlanta Area Council's Diversity & Inclusion Committee.
He has more than 40 years of experience trying cases in federal and state courts and has helped clients win multimillion-dollar jury verdicts and has obtained defense verdicts or summary judgments when defending clients.
