COLUMBIA, S.C. – Bernie Hawkins, a partner in Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP’s Columbia office, has been named as a Director for the American Bar Association (ABA) Business Law Section’s International Coordinating Committee for 2017-2018. Hawkins represents the interests of the Environmental Committee of the Business Law Section. Directors work with the International Coordinating Committee to address international business law issues.
Hawkins has a scientific background and legal training in working nationally on science-based litigation and dispute resolution. Active in the ABA, he is also vice chair of the Environmental, Energy and Resources Law Committee for the Business Law Section and vice chair of the Climate Change Sustainable Development and Ecosystems Committee for the Environment, Energy & Resources Committee.
