Wisenberg on Manafort Lawsuit: ‘Uphill Battle’

CNBC

Partner Sol Wisenberg weighs in on the lawsuit by former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort against special counsel Robert Mueller, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, and the Department of Justice in U.S. federal court. Manafort has been indicted on tax fraud and money laundering charges. He claims that Mueller overstepped the scope of the investigation he was authorized to pursue.

“I think it's going to be an uphill battle," said Wisenberg, former deputy independent counsel during the Whitewater-Clinton investigation, referring to Manafort's suit. "These kinds of things usually don't prevail."
