In an interview with Authority Magazine, California-based partner Shawtina Lewis shares what it takes to excel and stand out in the legal industry.

When asked what three traits were most instrumental to her success, Lewis named humility, precision and trustworthiness: “If there is an ego in the room, it will not be mine. Since the early days of my career, I have always strived to practice with a laser-focused approach to achieving the client’s desired outcome. For me, this has meant practicing with a willingness to handle any and all parts of a case, from reorganizing trial witness exhibits during the early morning hours to arguing dispositive motions in bet-the-company cases. I have found that my clients appreciate my ‘roll up your sleeves’ approach to my practice.”

Lewis said at her core, “I am a problem solver, and I really enjoy working with my clients to solve their most pressing legal needs.”
