Legal Executive Institute
Atlanta attorney Tori Silas was featured by Legal Executive Institute on how the "circuitous" route of her career has taken her from being a Big Four technology consultant to an in-house lawyer and finally to a partner at Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough.
Silas, who joined the Firm in February, told Legal Executive Institute that much of her career has consisted of learning "to move at the speed of business," which she hopes to utilize in her practice at Nelson Mullins. She also mentioned her strategy for getting to know clients’ needs: "To become a trusted business advisor to a legal team, you have to understand the issues that the business is facing, the objectives that they’re trying to reach, and what the in-house legal team members are trying to support.”
Silas focuses her practice in negotiating complex technology and general commercial transactions, counseling on privacy, information governance, and data protection compliance. She is a skilled legal strategist with more than 14 years experience working in the automotive, technology, media, and telecommunications sectors.
