N.C. Bar Blog
In an article from the North Carolina Bar Association's NCBarBlog on March 6, 2023, Nelson Mullins Of Counsel attorneys Lorin J. Lapidus was featured as a part of the blog's Pro Bono Spotlight series.
His work as a pro bono attorney is wide-ranging and Lapidus is very involved with the firm's pro bono program working on individual matters, as well as working with Legal Aid of North Carolina and the Duke Law School First Amendment Clinic.
Lapidus has been with Nelson Mullins since 2017 in an Of Counsel role and is a North Carolina Board Certified Appellate Practice Specialist who maintains an active North Carolina and federal appellate practice. He serves as embedded appellate counsel to assist with pursuing critical motions, lodging objections, and ensuring proper error preservation. Lapidus also focuses on commercial litigation, including matters appropriate for disposition in the N.C. Business Court.
"I credit our son Brighton and cats Jack and Lil with giving me the essential tools needed to be a good pro bono lawyer. Observe with childlike wonder, be curious and bold, be chill, but know when to pounce," Lapidus told the organization.
