Nelson Mullins Security Systems Earn ISO/IEC 27001:2013 Certification

COLUMBIA, S.C.–Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP announced today that it has obtained ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification of its information security management system. ISO 27001 certification indicates that the Firm has passed a rigorous independent assessment focused on adequate and proportionate security controls that protect information assets.

“Information security is critically important to our clients, and we are working to provide the highest level of security and data integrity available today,” said Managing Partner Jim Lehman. “This certification provides clients with additional confidence that our security controls and practices follow internationally recognized security standards.”

The certification was performed by Schellman & Company, LLC, an ANAB and UKAS accredited certification body based in the United States. ISO 27001 is a globally recognized standard for the establishment and certification of an information security management system (ISMS). The standard specifies the requirements for establishing, implementing, operating, monitoring, reviewing, maintaining, and improving a documented ISMS within the context of the organization’s overall business risks.
