Banking Exchange
Greenville-based partner Brittany McIntosh authored an article in Banking Exchange about the practical points and advantages of being a publicly traded bank rather than a publicly traded bank holding company.
“Since the Bank of the Ozarks’ reorganization in 2017, law firms and financial institutions have published articles debating the need for a bank to have a holding company and the advantages and disadvantages for doing so. What those articles do not address and what can be a mystery to bank management, in-house counsel, and boards of directors are the practical points and advantages related to being a publicly traded bank rather than a publicly traded bank holding company,” she wrote.
