Product Liability Conference Seminar

How to Address Ever-Expanding and Amorphous Product Liability Claims

Hosted by: DRI - The Voice of the Defense Bar

With an increase in manufacturing defect theories that have limited or no proof of a specific defect, it's important to stay ahead of the curve when dealing with these sorts of claims. Baltimore partner Kali Book will speak at the DRI Product Liability Conference Seminar's Young Lawyers Breakout Session on "How to Address Ever-Expanding and Amorphous Product Liability Claims" on Aug. 21. Book's co-presenter is Margaret O'Neill of Shook Hardy.

This presentation will focus on:

  • Diagnosing a non-specific defect claim
  • Categorizing a non-specific defect claim
  • Understanding the standards of proof required to address such claims

Book joined Nelson Mullins in May as part of a team of six experienced trial attorneys. She focuses her practice on product liability defense and has handled state and federal cases throughout the United States, including in mass tort and multi-district litigation. Book has been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in Maryland for Personal Injury — Products: Defense.

DRI is a leading organization of defense attorneys and in-house counsel. Three Nelson Mullins attorneys have served as president of DRI.
