Nelson Mullins partners Gabriel Imperato and Tom Moran will speak at the American Bar Association's 2022 National Institute on Health Care Fraud. This is the Institute's first live conference since 2019 and offers an exceptional review of current legal and ethical issues which arise in connection with the enforcement of health care and fraud matters. These issues will be covered in a high-level three-part series with panel presentations and workshops featuring key topics for health care attorneys, regulators, compliance professionals, state and federal prosecutors and investigators, criminal defense attorneys , and qui tam relators’ counsel and consultants.
Imperato, program chairman for this event for 25 years, will serve as the conference's master of ceremonies. He will moderate a government enforcement panel as well as partake in a panel on negotiating and mediating false claim cases. Imperato's practice includes representing individuals and organizations accused of healthcare fraud and assisting and advising healthcare organizations on corporate governance and compliance matters.
Moran will participate on the panel, "Enforcement Liability and Bankruptcy and Insolvency" Moran serves as a member of Nelson Mullins' Executive Committee and is managing partner in the Myrtle Beach office. He is the firm's healthcare team leader and focuses on transactions between healthcare entities.
