Alert from Nelson Mullins' Private Wealth Services Group

The COVID-19 outbreak has changed the world in unprecedented ways. Now more than ever, it is important to make sure that you and your loved ones have a complete estate plan in place. We recommend that you take this time to do the following:

  • Ensure that you have access to your estate planning documents and that they are up to date;
  • Review your will and trust to make sure that each document accurately sets forth your intentions; and
  • It is perhaps even most important to have up-to-date Durable Powers of Attorney, Medical Powers of Attorney and Living Wills. These documents allow you to appoint an agent to manage and administer your finances and to make decisions with respect to your healthcare in the event of incapacity.

If you would like to update your estate planning documents, or if you do not have estate planning documents and would like to put something in place, we are available to assist you. Nelson Mullins Private Wealth Services Group includes estate planners in many states, including Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and New York.

We appreciate that these are difficult times and if we can help you or a loved one in any fashion, please call on your trust and estate planning attorney in the Private Wealth Services group.
