Experienced Pharmaceutical Litigator
Joins Nelson Mullins in Charleston

CHARLESTON, SC (OCTOBER 18, 2012) – An experienced litigator in pharmaceutical defense has joined Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough in its Charleston office. Pam Ullman joins the Firm of counsel and will work with the pharmaceutical products liability team.

Ms. Ullman previously served as Vice President and Assistant Secretary in charge of global litigation for Aventis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and its predecessor company Rhône-Poulenc Rorer, where she managed complex product liability and commercial litigation, legislative initiatives, and government investigations in the United States, Canada, and elsewhere. She also provided strategic business advice and direct legal services to each of the company's subsidiaries and divisions, working in such areas as global licensing, acquisitions and divestitures, environmental compliance, and in all areas of pharmaceutical regulation from clinical development to manufacturing to post-marketing surveillance. She previously maintained a litigation practice at another large law firm.

Ms. Ullman earned a Juris Doctor from Villanova University School of Law in 1988 and a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies at Dickinson College in 1981.
