Nelson Mullins Partner George Teague Elected Chair of UNC Wilmington Board of Trustees

TeagueRALEIGH, N.C. (Aug. 29, 2011) -- George M. Teague, a partner in Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough's Raleigh office, was elected chair of the University of North Carolina Wilmington's Board of Trustees last week.

Mr. Teague was appointed to the UNC Wilmington Board of Trustees by the UNC Board of Governors. He has served on the board since 2005 and is currently serving his second term, which ends in 2013. Mr. Teague is also chair of the Educational Planning and Programs Committee and the Executive Committee and is a member of the Chancellor's Search Committee.

Mr. Teague is an active member of the Raleigh community. He is a former president of the Friends of the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences and a member of the advisory board of the North Carolina Safe Kids. He is also a member of the Wake Education Partnership Board of Trustees.
