Katie Rector Joins Nelson Mullins in Columbia

COLUMBIA, S.C. (Nov. 17, 2011) – Katie Rector has joined Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough's Columbia office as an associate. She practices in the areas of pharmaceutical and medical device litigation, products liability, and business litigation.

Ms. Rector earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Wake Forest University School of Law in 2011. While in law school she was the executive editor of the Journal of Law and Policy and earned a CALI Excellence for the Future award in Legal Research and Writing I and Employment Law. She was also chosen to serve as a teaching assistant for the Legal Research and Writing I and Appellate Advocacy classes.

Ms. Rector earned her Masters in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of South Carolina in 2006 and worked in the South Carolina Department of Mental Health for three years before attending law school. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2003.
