McAfee Certified as Board Certified Specialist

FEBRUARY 23, 2011 - Pam McAfee, of counsel in Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP's Raleigh office, has been certified as a Board Certified Specialist in Business and Consumer Bankruptcy Law by the North Carolina State Bar.  The board currently certifies lawyers in eight areas of law: bankruptcy law, criminal law, estate planning and probate law, family law, immigration law, real property law, workers' compensation law, and social security disability law.

Ms. McAfee practices in the areas of bankruptcy and creditors rights. Ms. McAfee has extensive experience working with bankruptcy matters, having served as a staff attorney to the Honorable A. Thomas Small of the United States Bankruptcy Court, Eastern District of North Carolina from 2001 until his retirement in 2009, and to the court as a whole from September 2009 to March 2010.
