Lader Elected Vice Chairman of RAND

LaderCHARLESTON (July 1, 2010) - The Board of Trustees of RAND Corporation, the world's oldest and largest "think-tank," has elected Philip Lader as vice chairman. RAND's 500-Ph.D. staff provides independent, objective, nonpartisan research and analysis of public policy issues to governments and private-sector clients worldwide. Mr. Lader has been a trustee since 2001.

Mr. Lader is a partner of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP in Charleston, where he practices in the areas of international business, real estate, government, and corporate matters. Additional positions held by Mr. Lader include Non-executive Chairman of WPP Group plc, the global advertising and communications group with 2,200 offices and 140,000 people in 107 countries, and senior adviser to Morgan Stanley.
