Nelson Mullins' Gunter Recognized by 'Legal Elite'
WINSTON-SALEM (Jan. 5, 2010) – Business North Carolina magazine has named Denise Gunter, managing partner of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP's Winston-Salem office, to its "2010 Legal Elite," a roster of North Carolina attorneys selected by their peers as the most effective in their practice areas. Ms. Gunter was selected for her antitrust work.
Ms. Gunter practices in the areas of antitrust, healthcare antitrust, litigation, with particular emphasis on healthcare matters, and certificate of need issues. She has been selected by her peers for the Legal Elite list for many years for her antitrust work.
Business North Carolina magazine provides ballots to more than 19,000 members of the state bar to vote on whom they rate as the best in their fields. Respondents cannot vote for themselves, but can vote for other members of their firms as long as they vote for an equal or greater number from other firms. About 3 percent of the state's attorneys make the list, according to the publication.
