Nelson Mullins' Gulde Recognized for Pro Bono Service

GuldeTALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Oct. 27, 2011) -- Virginia L. Gulde, an associate in Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough’s Tallahassee office, was honored with the 2009 Claude M. Scarborough, Jr., Award for her commitment to pro bono service.

"Virginia seeks out pro bono appointments in Florida," said Travis Dayhuff, who chairs the Nelson Mullins Pro Bono Committee. "She accepts appointments on family court matters and other legal matters to assist the poor from the Legal Aid Foundation in Tallahassee. In addition, at the request of a family court judge to lawyers in the county, she responded and was trained to assist with serving as a guardian ad litem. Virginia has handled several guardian cases."

Ms. Gulde completed more than 300 hours of pro bono work in 2009 and 2010.

Ms. Gulde focuses her practice on dealer, distributor, and franchise litigation. She also defends claims brought against automotive manufacturers under state lemon law statutes and the federal Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.
