Nelson Mullins Promotes Five in Boston

BOSTON (Jan. 5, 2011) -- Four Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough attorneys have been promoted to partner, while one technical specialist has been promoted to associate. The new partners are:

  • Jill Gorny Sloper, whose practice focuses on intellectual property law in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and life science fields and in the microbiology and immunology industries.
  • EuiHoon Lee, whose intellectual property practice focuses on patent preparation and prosecution of electrical, mechanical, and computer systems.
  • Brian C. Trinque, Ph.D., whose practice is focused on intellectual property law in the pharmaceutical and chemical arts and in the medical device and clean technology fields.
  • James H. Velema, whose intellectual property practice focuses on U.S. and foreign patent applications in the fields of biotechnology and pharmaceuticals.

Pankaj N. Desai, Ph. D., also was promoted from technical specialist to associate. Dr. Desai focuses his practice on procuring and protecting intellectual property in the areas of chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and life sciences.
