Emma Dean Joins Nelson Mullins in Columbia

DeanCOLUMBIA (Oct. 7, 2009) -- Emma T. Dean has joined Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP in its Columbia office. Ms. Dean practices in the areas of appellate law and business litigation. 

Before joining the Firm, Ms. Dean clerked for Justice John W. Kittredge of the Supreme Court of South Carolina. Ms. Dean also served as Judge Kittredge's law clerk on the South Carolina Court of Appeals and as a staff attorney at the Court of Appeals.

 A member of the South Carolina Bar and Richland County Bar Association, Ms. Dean is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina.

 Ms. Dean earned her Juris Doctor in 2006 from the University of South Carolina School of Law. In 2003, Ms. Dean received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Politics from Washington and Lee University. Ms. Dean is the co-president of the Washington and Lee Palmetto Alumni chapter.
