Allison Waller is a policy advisor in Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough’s Raleigh office where she is a member of the firm’s government relations team. She has a background in government affairs and public policy.

Ms. Waller previously worked at the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce for nearly five years. As director of Government Affairs she was the chamber’s full-time state lobbyist, representing the interests of the Charlotte business community at the N.C. General Assembly. Although she primarily focused on state government, she has also worked with federal and local governmental bodies to advocate for pro-business legislation. Additionally, Ms. Waller was responsible for all chamber public policy events and communications and has had a pro-business policy column published in the Charlotte Business Journal. She has worked on several successful political campaigns for the City of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County including bond referenda and an effort to fight the repeal of Charlotte’s half-cent sales tax for public transportation. She is an active member of the North Carolina Professional Lobbyists Association.

Ms. Waller earned her Bachelor of Science, cum laude, from Appalachian State University in 2006 with a major in communication and corporate public relations.
