David Yates is a Managing Director with SunTrust Robinson Humphrey’s Healthcare Investment Banking Group where he covers the non-profit hospital sector. Mr. Yates has over 25 years of experience in financing mergers and acquisitions, and has been exclusively focused on the healthcare industry for 12 years. Prior to joining SunTrust, Mr. Yates was Managing Director and Head of Healthcare Finance for ORIX Finance, parent company of Houlihan Lokey, where he provided both debt and equity capital to middle market healthcare companies and equity funds. Before joining ORIX, he launched Goldman Sachs’ entry into middle-market healthcare lending in 2005 and also served as Head of Healthcare for BNP Paribas from 2001-2005. He holds a B.A. degree from Brigham Young University and an M.B.A. degree from Southern Methodist University.
