David J. Weader is Vice President, Legal Services and Chief Compliance Officer of Geisinger Health Plan, and is responsible for providing legal support to senior management and for maintaining GHP's compliance program.
Weader started his career as an associate at a national health law firm, Epstein Becker & Green, PC and a leading Pennsylvania-based law firm, McNees, Wallace & Nurick LLC, providing regulatory and transactional counsel to health care providers and managed care companies. After leaving private practice and prior to joining GHP, Mr. Weader worked as Associate General Counsel for the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and as a Plan Attorney for Coventry Health Care, a national managed care company.
Mr. Weader received his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University, his graduate degree in health care management from the Ohio State University, and his law degree from the Boston University School of Law
