David Beck has been practicing health care law since 1985, with a particular emphasis on long term care issues. He is currently serving as Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer for Golden Living, a family of companies that provide a wide variety of health care and services. Golden Living companies operate skilled nursing facilities, hospices, and home health agencies and provide rehabilitation therapy and healthcare staffing services. As Chief Legal Officer, Mr. Beck is responsible for ensuring effective legal guidance in all phases of the companies’ operations, advising the Board and management on legal strategy and business matters, and oversight of compliance, state and federal government relations, communications, and public affairs.
Mr. Beck served as General Counsel – Healthcare for Beverly Enterprises, Inc. from June 2000 until March 2006, and before that was a partner with Powers Pyles Sutter and Verville serving health care clients. From 1993 through 2003, he was Executive Director of the District of Columbia Health Care Association.
After graduating from the University of Oregon, he earned his law degree from the University of Virginia in 1982.
