Nelson Mullins is experienced in drafting and negotiating commercial real estate leases for retail, office, mixed-use, medical and flex/warehouse industrial properties.  Our team of leasing attorneys has represented—as landlords—local, regional, and national developers, REIT's, investors and special loan servicers.  We have also represented—as tenants—regional and national retailers and restaurants, corporate property users and other operators.

Our Group has handled a broad spectrum of leasing issues in connection with our clients’ regional and national expansion and growth.  Our experience includes creating and implementing appropriate lease forms, as well as leasing and asset management strategies for owners of real estate assets and project portfolios.  Our work has covered a variety of property types and classes, such as shopping centers, office and industrial parks, mixed-use projects, and other real estate developments.   Our Group's leasing work includes sale-leaseback transactions, build-to-suit leases with preferred development partners, ground leases, anchor, in-line, and outparcel leases. We also regularly provide assistance with lease amendments, subleases, termination, subordination and non-disturbance agreements and other collateral lease documentation.
