Managing Multijurisdictional and Multidistrict Litigation

Not all pharmaceutical product liability cases are alike. Sometimes our clients face just one or two cases for a particular product. Sometimes they face thousands. When our clients do face numerous cases, we understand the strategic considerations and practical realities of multiparty and multijurisdictional cases, class actions, MDL proceedings and state coordinated proceedings. Nelson Mullins recently served in a lead role in the Phenylpropanolamine MDL proceedings, managing over 1,700 cases for one major pharmaceutical client. Nelson Mullins also recently served a lead role in managing and defending over 10,000 cases filed in state court in Georgia relating to anorexigens, and is currently serving as liaison counsel in multidistrict litigation involving contact lenses.
