Allison Waller is a policy advisor in Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough’s Raleigh office where she is a member of the firm’s government relations team. She has a background in government affairs and public policy.

Previous Professional Experience

• Director of Government Affairs at the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce
  • The Charlotte Chamber's full-time state lobbyist; advocate for pro-business legislation, representing the interests of the business members at the N.C. General Assembly in Raleigh
  • Worked with officials at the City of Charlotte, Mecklenburg County and Charlotte-Mecklenburg School Board to promote strategic partnerships with local government and provide access to the Charlotte business community
  • Primary issue areas: economic development, land use and transportation, workforce development and education
  • Coordinated chamber public policy events and issue-specific member committees
  • Oversaw public policy communication including the chamber legislative blog, policy newsletter and Twitter account
• Has worked on successful local referenda campaigns in the City of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County including bond referenda and "Vote Against Repeal" campaign to maintain Charlotte’s revenue stream for public transportation
