Partnership decisions are based in large part upon performance and development as an attorney. In order to evaluate associates' progress, periodic written evaluations are sought from the attorneys who work with associates. The evaluation results are collected and discussed with associates at periodic intervals. Generally speaking, associates whose performance and development warrant advancement are first considered for partnership after their seventh year. Associates who are elevated to partnership are generally considered for equity partnership after their ninth year.
