Competitive Compensation

Nelson Mullins strives to maintain highly competitive compensation for associates.  Entry-level associate salaries for firm offices are:

Atlanta, GA   $130,000 or $145,000 - depending on area of law
Charleston, SC   $110,000
Charlotte, NC   $130,000
Columbia, SC   $110,000
Greenville, SC   $110,000
Myrtle Beach, SC   $110,000
Raleigh, NC   $130,000
Washington, DC   $145,000 or $160,000 - depending on area of law
Winston-Salem, NC   $130,000

Starting compensation for intellectual property associates (patent attorneys or attorneys
qualified to take the patent exam) is:

Georgia   $160,000
North Carolina   $160,000
South Carolina   $140,000
     

The Firm offers a $5,000 stipend to entry-level associates to defray costs associated with taking the Bar exam, as well as an additional signing bonus for certain judicial clerkships.
