Reed J. Hollander is a partner Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP, and practices in Raleigh where he handles a broad range of litigation, including contract disputes, business torts, unfair competition, administrative law, state and local tax litigation, eminent domain and condemnation, technology, trade secret law, intellectual property, and constitutional and First Amendment issues. Mr. Hollander has tried jury and non-jury cases in state courts and before administrative agencies. He has litigated in federal district courts, and has appealed cases to the North Carolina Court of Appeals, the North Carolina Supreme Court, and the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.

Mr. Hollander is the 2006-2007 chair of the North Carolina Bar Association Constitutional Rights and Responsibilities Section.  He is a member of the American Bar Association (Tort/Insurance and Litigation Sections), the North Carolina State Bar, and the North Carolina Bar Association (Constitutional Rights and Litigation Sections). He is also a member of the Wake County/10th Judicial District Bar.

He served from 2001 to 2005 on a pro bono basis as legal counsel to the North Carolina Jaycees.

In 1996, Mr. Hollander earned a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the Duke University School of Law where he served as director of the Domestic Violence Advocacy Project. In 1993, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in English, with honors and distinction, from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
