Nelson Mullins’ Bess Hinson to Address Cybersecurity Summit

COLUMBIA, S.C. (April 12, 2017)–Elizabeth K. “Bess” Hinson, an attorney in Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP’s Columbia office, will speak on cybersecurity May 23, 2017 in Columbia at the S.C. Cyber 2017 Summit, co-sponsored by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the S.C. Chamber of Commerce. The summit brings together participants from government, law enforcement, and the private sector to help small and mid-size business owners develop, evaluate, and strengthen cybersecurity programs. Ms. Hinson is a member of the Privacy and Information Security Practice Group, a team of professionals collectively familiar with U.S. and global privacy and security regulation, case law, and other standards. She provides legal advice on matters related to privacy laws affecting multiple sectors of the economy. She represents clients at all stages of incident response and regularly counsels clients on cross-border data flows and navigating conflicts between foreign privacy laws and U.S. compliance obligations.
