Steven L. Berson is a partner of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP who practices in Atlanta in the areas of corporate, securities, technologies, mergers and acquisitions, and information management law. Mr. Berson currently serves as chairman of the Firm’s Corporate Group.

Prior to joining Nelson Mullins, Mr. Berson spent more than 20 years practicing in New York, San Francisco, and Silicon Valley, first with Brown & Wood (now Sidley Austin), from 1981 to 1990, and then with Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati in Palo Alto from 1990 to 2003.

Throughout his career, Mr. Berson has represented companies, venture capital firms, private equity firms, hedge funds, and investment banking firms in hundreds of public and private offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and other corporate and securities transactions. In addition, he regularly advises companies on a wide range of SEC, stock exchange, corporate governance, and executive compensation matters.

Mr. Berson is a frequent speaker on corporate and securities law topics. He is listed in the The Best Lawyers in America (2006-2010) for his experience in securities law.
