Ross E. Sallade is a partner of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP who practices in Raleigh in the area of healthcare. A member of the North Carolina State Bar, Mr. Sallade is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of North Carolina.
Mr. Sallade advises clients on a variety of healthcare regulatory and compliance matters (including Medicare and Medicaid enrollment and reimbursement issues, state and federal licensure matters, and JCAHO compliance), fraud and abuse (representing a variety of healthcare providers and suppliers regarding state and federal Stark laws and Kickback statutes), litigation (representing physicians before hospital medical boards regarding medical staff matters), corporate (representing a variety of healthcare providers and suppliers in the structure and formation of joint ventures, professional service agreements, management service agreements, and the like) and finance transactions (representing investment banking firms regarding health regulatory compliance issues for large healthcare provider transactions). Mr. Sallade has extensive experience in dealing with state and federal privacy and security issues, including HIPAA, and he has been published in both areas.
Mr. Sallade is a member of the American Bar Association (Health Law Forum), the American College of Healthcare Executives (Regulation, Accreditation and Payment practice group), the American Health Lawyers Association, the North Carolina Bar Association (Health Law Section), and the North Carolina Society for Healthcare Attorneys. Before attending law school, Mr. Sallade was employed as an administrative resident and administrator of a leading South Carolina hospital and a prominent surgery center, respectively.
In 2000, Mr. Sallade earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law. In 1997, he earned a Master of Health Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University, and in 1992, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology, cum laude, from Hampden-Sydney College.
