Rachel Flynn is an associate in Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough’s Columbia office, where her business litigation practice focuses on the area of franchise and distribution litigation. 

Ms. Flynn earned her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, in 2009 from Washington and Lee University School of Law, where she was a member of the Order of the Coif.  During law school, she interned for The Honorable James C. Turk, United States District Judge for the Western District of Virginia. She also served as Chair of the Moot Court Executive Board and competed in the Philip C. Jessup International Moot Court Competition. She received the Charles V. Laughlin Award for outstanding contributions to the Moot Court program.

As Head Kirgis Fellow, she orchestrated the first-year law student orientation and year-long peer mentorship program. Additionally, Ms. Flynn served as a pupil of the Ted Dalton American Inn of Court, as an Honor Advocate, and as a member of the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity. She also participated in a number of charitable organizations.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Risk and Insurance Management, magna cum laude, in 2006 from the Honors College at the University of South Carolina. Ms. Flynn was awarded the Algernon Sydney Sullivan Award, the University’s highest undergraduate honor, for outstanding academic achievements, campus leadership, exemplary character, and service to the community.
