Paula M. Burlison is an associate of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough who practices in the areas of product liability,consumer products, and litigation.

A former summer associate of the Firm, she has experience working with matters related to product liability and litigation. She also has experience at another Columbia law firm in real estate litigation and title insurance.

Before law school, she served as executive assistant to the Provost at Columbia College. She also has worked as a management analyst and veterans service representative for the Department of Veterans Affairs in Columbia, S.C.

She earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where she was named to the Order of the Coif, was in the Order of the Wig and Robe, and earned the 2008 CALI Award for Advanced Legal Research. Additionally, she worked as a legal writing clinic assistant and served as a student research assistant for Professor John Montgomery. She earned a B.A. in English and a minor in Business Administration, summa cum laude, cum honore, from Columbia College in 2000.
