Nikki Lee, of counsel at Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP, practices in Greenville in the areas of community banking, financial institutions, corporate and securities law.

Ms. Lee rejoined Nelson Mullins in 2009 after spending two years as the corporate compliance officer at Advance America, Cash Advance Centers, Inc., a NYSE publicly traded company, where she gained experience in product compliance, privacy issues, general corporate work, as well as SEC and NYSE compliance.  Prior to joining Nelson Mullins in 2004, Ms. Lee was associated with a leading New York law firm where she gained experience in corporate finance and bankruptcy.

A member of the South Carolina Bar and the New York State Bar, Ms. Lee is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. She is a member of the American Bar Association and the South Carolina Women Lawyers Association. She is the author of McQueen v. South Carolina Coastal Council: Misinterpreting Lucas, 52 S.C. L. Rev. 815 (2001).

In 2002, Ms. Lee earned a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of South Carolina School of Law where she was named to the Order of the Coif and the Order of Wig and Robe. From 2001-02, she served as Articles Editor of the South Carolina Law Review, and she received CALI Awards in Constitutional Law, Civil Procedure, and Professional Responsibility. In 1998, Ms. Lee earned a Bachelor of Arts in History, cum laude, from the University of South Carolina.
