Lucie H. Cohen is an associate of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP who practices in Columbia in the areas of pharmaceutical and medical device defense and environmental law. 

Ms. Cohen serves as Vice Chair of the South Carolina Defense Trial Attorneys Association, and is a member of the American Bar Association, Richland County Bar Association, and South Carolina Women Lawyers Association. 

Ms. Cohen co-authored the South Carolina Chapter of Federal Jurisdiction Based on Removal: A 50-State Survey (2008); Back to the Basics: A Primer for Preparing Sales Representatives for a Deposition, Rx for the Defense (Spring 2008); and An Ounce of Prevention: Electronic Discovery Preparedness for Pharmaceutical & Biotechnology Companies, IADC Drug, Device, & Biotechnology Newsletter (February 2008). 

She earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2007. While in law school, she served as editor in chief of the ABA's Real Property, Probate and Trust Journal. She also was selected as a student member of the John Belton O'Neall Inn of Court and was named to the Order of Wig and Robe. 

In 2002, she received her Master of Science in Environmental Studies from the College of Charleston. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology with minors in Chemistry and History from Loyola University New Orleans.
