Lucas A. Westby is an associate of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough in Atlanta, where he practices in the areas of commercial litigation, products liability and false advertising litigation.  Mr. Westby represents a number of leading pharmaceutical and medical device companies in complex products liability and intellectual property matters.  He also has experience counseling clients with regard to pre-market product assessments, Lanham Act and competition law matters, regulatory issues, and internal investigations.

Mr. Westby earned his Juris Doctor in 2008 from Georgetown University Law Center, where he served as a Notes and Articles Editor of the Georgetown Journal of International Law and was President of the GULC Habitat for Humanity.  While in law school, he worked as a legal summer intern for a small international law firm in Istanbul, Turkey, and as a summer associate for Nelson Mullins.  He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Art History from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.  Mr. Westby is admitted to the Georgia Bar and is a member of the Defense Research Institute, Georgia Defense Lawyers Association, American Bar Association, and Georgia and Atlanta Bar Associations.

Mr. Westby is active in his community, serving as a Board Member for the Blue & Gold Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to supporting Chamblee Charter High School and the city of Chamblee, Georgia.  He also coaches baseball in the community year-round, coaching 10-year-olds at Buckhead Baseball in the spring and high-school players at Chamblee Charter High School in the Fall.
